Reputation is the opinion of a particular group or public toward a person, or an organization. The reputation of a person is important in many areas where trust is important such as business, and deciding the social standing in status conscious societies.
Earlier the reputation of a person was based on his or her actions, today it is often manipulated by Public Relations (PR) agencies which feed the lazy news reporters with favorable stories about their clients.
